A Little Pick Me Up

Dear Mr. Fluffington-

Boy, can I use your advice today. I have been so depressed I haven't even done pilates today; instead I ate two pints of Häagen-Dazs coffee ice cream. Now, I feel so fat and I am supposed to go to a Junior League luncheon with Miffy and Yummy. They will, no doubt, be far skinnier than me, and then how ashamed will William be... if he gets back from the out-of-town conference he and Miranda had to go to in Sarasota this weekend. His flight will be cutting it close. Hopefully, he won't miss his connecting flight in Las Vegas again and have to stay overnight this time.

I can't decide which of my spring dress suits I should wear. What do you think?

1. This one? (Pink Suit)
2. This one? (Coral Suit)
3. This one? (Fuschia Suit)
4. This one? (Ruffled Suit- I've never worn this one; it's a tad contemporary.)
5. This one? (Iris Suit- This is the one I'm leaning toward.)
6. This one? (Turquoise Suit)
7. This one? (Purple suit)

For those of you planning to attend my wedding, please be sure to check out William's and my gift registry. You can find it under Mimi von Huffnsnort and William von Thirstnhowl, wedding, April 2009. Of course, religious memorabilia is always welcome, as well. And, because William and I care about our moral environment, we will donate 1% of Neimann's sales to the pro-life group or church of your choosing, as well!

Well, once again, blogging perked me up!

Thanks, Mr. Fluffington.

Love, Mims

Hey dare to stand out in a crowd. I think you should wear the ruffled suit.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't evaluate the colours of the suits because I was immediately put off by the colour in the first example, the pink one. I'm not talking about the tone of the fabric; I mean... how can I say this without seeming prejudiced... OK -- the model.

I just can't visualise you after seeing that. All I can think of is Michelle Obama's arms, and I'm so sick of the media making us look at THEM all the time.

It's so nice that your registry is with Nieman Marcus. In these tough economic times, they need all the help we can give them. Unfortunately, they rejected my credit card because it's on an Aussie bank and my money's not good enough for them. So I suppose N-M isn't hurting too badly! However, be assured that my heart is with you for that wonderful day that's coming!

and if William gets stranded in Vegas I think you should fly there to surprise him

Oh, the coral, darling! So classic yet so "now!"

Whatever you chose, I hope you didn't take off your jacket like some sort of whore.

The turquoise version's bolero jacket doesn't cover much in case you plan to eat at the luncheon. Might want to go Fuschia. Oh, wait. It's a JR. League lunch, so it'll just be fake eating.

I hope you wore the Iris and steered clear of the Coral and left your jacket on as Ubermilf suggested. You've a reputation to uphold you know.
